Most PingPipe dedicated servers include IPMI and remote reboot functionality. After you have logged into your server's IPMI you might sometimes experience difficulties with launching the console redirect. One issue may be that you receive an error message that says "unable to connect". If you see this message please open a support ticket from your client area, and ask our technicians to re-set your server's IPMI. Once the reset is completed your IPMI console re-direction should be fully accessible within 10 minutes (or less).
Another issue that sometimes arises involves your browser's JAVA installation. In order for your IPMI console re-direction to work properly it is important that you have the latest version of Java installed in your workstation browser. For security, you should also make sure that you have remove any old versions of JAVA from your computer as well. Sometimes you might receive a message that says your browser's security settings have blocked self-signed applications. When you see this message open your workstation's JAVA Control Panel, click on the "Security" tab, and change your setting to Medium. You might need to re-start your operating system for the changes to take effect, after that you should be able to launch your IP-KVM console with no problem.
If you try these steps and your server's IMPI console still will not launch please enter a support ticket from your client area, and our next available technician will respond.
